Free Charging Across The RAW Network This Christmas: Friday 23rd December

Driving home for Christmas with RAW Charging

As one of the largest UK providers of electric vehicle charging solutions and infrastructure for the UK’s net zero future, RAW Charging are once again offering free charging across the network on Friday 23 December to help drivers get home for Christmas.

RAW’s charging network which includes popular sites such as McArthurGlen outlet in York, Cheshire Oaks and the newly launched East Midlands, Greene King pubs across the UK and the Slough Charge Yard will all offer free charging for drivers throughout the day. Free charging will begin at 12:01am on Friday 23 September and normal fees will resume at 23:59 on the same day. There will be a mix of fast AC and DC Ultra Rapid chargers available for customers to use across RAW’s sites in the UK and the free charging will be available through the ChargePoint app or by using an RFID card.

In September, RAW gave back to the EV community by offering free charging across the UK to celebrate World EV Day, which saw record levels of charging across the network. Due to driver uptake and as energy prices increase across the UK, RAW wants to give drivers an early Christmas present by giving all drivers the chance to charge up for free across the UK. With an estimated 45% of drivers needing to charge their EV’s away from home, RAW understands the importance of destination charging, offering some of the lowest charging costs in the industry. As a reliable, driver friendly network, RAW continues to work with businesses across the UK and is always looking to transform unused land into EV charging hubs, to improve en-route and destination charging. RAW delivers destination charging to help aid the transition to EVs ahead of the government ban of new diesel and petrol cars in 2030.

Bruce Galliford, CEO, RAW Charging, said:

“We’d like to do our bit to ensure fellow EV drivers get home for Christmas with a full charge by offering free charging across our network on the 23 December. We try and keep our charging rates down across the UK and we’d like to thank our customers by offering free AC and DC charging. Our customers, the reliability of our chargers and the service we offer are all integral parts of the business and we strive to be a personal and flexible network to suit the needs of EV drivers. We look forward to continuing our rollout of destination charging across the UK and Europe in 2023 and hope that everyone has a restful Christmas and New Year.”
