Getting Started

How do I reserve my EV charger?

You can easily reserve your EV charger through our online booking site. You can access the site via the email you received from the provider as part of your hotel or day experience booking.

How far in advance can I book my EV charger?

You can book your charger as far in advance as you like. On the day of your reservation, you’ll receive a reminder via text message. Please note that same-day reservations are not available.

When does my reservation start and how long is my reservation for?

Your reservation begins at midday on the date of your reservation. You then have 24 hours until midday the following day to charge your car. You can arrive and charge at any time during this window. However, we ask that you please move your car before your reservation ends to allow other visitors to reserve and charge.

Why do I need to provide my number plate?

We use automatic number plate recognition cameras to match your car’s number plate with the one you provided during booking. This ensures the charger is reserved exclusively for you and unlocks automatically when you arrive.

How does the reservation process work?

1. Book your reservation via our reservation site. 2. On the day of your reservation, drive to your reserved bay using the details from your booking confirmation. 3. Your charger will automatically unlock upon recognition of your number plate. 4. Tap your card, plug in and begin charging!

What type of charger can I reserve?

The chargers available for reservation are AC Chargers (up to 22kW) with Type 2 sockets.

Am I able to leave and return to my reserved space once it has been unlocked?

Once your charger is unlocked via detection of your number plate, it is then unlocked indefinitely until someone else makes a reservation. This means that unfortunately if you leave the space, it will be available for other drivers to use the EV charger even if your reservation period has not ended.

Booking, payment and cancellation

How much does it cost to reserve my charger and how do I pay?

It costs £3 to reserve your charger. You pay for your reservation upfront when using our online booking site. You can pay with your credit or debit card, or as via Apple Pay, Google Pay, Link etc. Please note, this payment is separate from your payment for the cost of your charging. You pay for your charge at the charge point on the day either using contactless, an RFID or roaming card or via the Charge Point App.

I have reserved a charger, but I haven’t received an email or text confirmation.

If you have made a reservation and have been charged for it but are yet to receive an email confirmation with the details of your booking. Please email [email protected]

I want to cancel my reservation. What should I do?

You can cancel your reservation 24 hours before the start of your reservation for a full refund. After this point you will not be eligible for a refund. You can cancel via your online booking, which you can access through the link in your email or text messages from us. You will receive an email confirmation of your cancellation. If there are any issues with your cancellation, please report a problem via your online booking.

My plans have changed, and I want to reschedule my reservation. What should I do?

If they want to reschedule your reservation for another day, please cancel your reservation and re-book for the new day. Please note that cancellations are only eligible for a refund 24 hours prior to the start of your reservation.

Trouble with your reserved charger

The charger isn’t unlocking for me. What should I do?

Double-check that you are in the correct bay. If so, use the link in your text message to access your online booking and click ‘Unlock Charge Point’. If this still doesn’t work, please move to free bay and report a problem via your online booking (accessible through your email or text). Select ‘Report a Problem’ and provide the necessary details. We will issue a refund for your reservation.

Someone is in my reserved bay. What should I do?

If another vehicle is occupying your reserved bay, please move to another available bay if one is free. Please also report the issue via your online booking (accessible through your email or text). Select ‘Report a Problem’ and provide the necessary details. We will issue a refund for your reservation.

I’ve unlocked my charger, but it’s still not working. What should I do?

If your charger shows as available but isn’t charging your vehicle, please contact us at +44 (0) 2075 195 052 for assistance.
