Getting Started
How do I reserve my EV charger?
You can easily reserve your EV charger through our online booking site. You can access the site via the email you received from the provider as part of your hotel or day experience booking.
How far in advance can I book my EV charger?
You can book your charger as far in advance as you like. On the day of your reservation, you’ll receive a reminder via text message. Please note that same-day reservations are not available.
When does my reservation start and how long is my reservation for?
Your reservation start time and duration are shown in your confirmation email and in your online booking portal. Please make sure you move your car before your reservation ends so the charger is available for the next guest.
Why do I need to provide my number plate?
We use automatic number plate recognition cameras to match your car’s number plate with the one you provided during booking. This ensures the charger is reserved exclusively for you and unlocks automatically when you arrive.
What type of charger can I reserve?
The chargers available for reservation are AC Chargers (up to 22kW) with Type 2 sockets.
Can I leave and return to my reserved space once it has been unlocked?
Once you leave the bay, you are not able to return to it, even if your reservation window has not yet ended. The reserved space is for your vehicle only and cannot be used by another car. We monitor use of the EV charging bays using ANPR cameras to help ensure reservations are used correctly.
Booking, payment and cancellation
Is my EV charging included in the price of the reservation?
At some locations, EV charging is included in the reservation price. This means you pay an upfront fee to secure your space, with charging included for the duration of your reservation window. At other locations, the reservation covers the space only and charging is paid for separately on the day. Payment can be made at the charge point using contactless, an RFID or roaming card, or through the Charge Point app. You can see which option is available for the location you need, when booking.
I have reserved a charger, but I haven’t received an email or text confirmation.
If you have made a reservation, been charged, and have not received your confirmation email, please contact [email protected].
I want to cancel my reservation. What should I do?
You can cancel your reservation up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. After that, refunds are no longer available. To cancel, use the link in your email or text message to access your online booking. You’ll receive an email confirming the cancellation. If you have any issues, please use the ‘Report a Problem’ option in your online booking.
My plans have changed, and I want to reschedule my reservation. What should I do?
If you would like to move your reservation to another day, please cancel your existing booking and make a new one. Please note that cancellations are only eligible for a refund if made at least 24 hours before your reservation start time.
Trouble with your reserved charger
The charger isn’t unlocking for me. What should I do?
First, please check that you are parked in the correct bay. If you are, use the link in your text message to open your online booking and select ‘Unlock Charge Point’. If the charger still does not unlock, please use our support form via your online booking to contact us.
Someone is in my reserved bay. What should I do?
Your bay has been reserved, and the charger will only unlock when your vehicle registration is recognised by the ANPR camera, ensuring no one else can use it. While we have signage requesting that other drivers do not park in the space, we are unable to physically prevent unauthorised vehicles from doing so. If another vehicle is in your reserved bay, please use our support form via your online booking to contact us. We’ll aim to direct you to another bay where possible and can also arrange a refund for your reservation if needed.
I’ve unlocked my charger, but it’s still not working. What should I do?
If your charger shows as available but does not start charging your vehicle, please contact ChargePoint on 0808 164 4968. They’ll be able to help with any charger-related issues.
