PRESS: RAW Charging to deliver over 10,000 AC and DC chargers over the next three years

RAW Charging, one of the largest UK providers of electric vehicle charging solutions and infrastructure for the UK’s net zero future, is pleased to announce the selection of four key delivery partners to aid with the rollout of 2,400 new destination EV charging sites across the UK.

Highlights:

  • RAW has selected four delivery partners who will install over 1,000 RAW EV charging sites in the next 12 to 18 months. The delivery partners are TSG UK, ISG, Bethell Group & eSmart Networks.
  • RAW will be launching 80 new sites per month from January as the acceleration of RAW’s charging network continues.
  • The agreements will run for a minimum of three years, with over 10,000 AC and DC chargers being installed across the sites.

The delivery partners will undertake the role of principal contractor and designer, accelerating RAW’s rollout of a destination charging network. The delivery partners will undertake the full turnkey process being responsible for the DNO connection, on-site installation, testing and commissioning of the sites. The rollout will be funded by the growth capital raise RAW announced in July. The fundraise, which was funded by Antin Infrastructure Partners, will support RAW in its £250 million EV charger installation plan.

With an estimated 45% of drivers needing to charge their EV’s away from home, RAW understands the need for destination charging in the UK. Through the delivery, RAW will become one of the leading charge point operators in the UK, with the delivery partners installing thousands of RAW sites which will rapidly grow the network. Recently, on World EV Day, RAW saw the highest usage across their network, as the company offered free EV charging across their sites in the UK.

RAW has recently launched charging facilities at the McArthurGlen Designer Outlet York and has announced plans for a new ChargeYard in Oxford as part of a sponsorship with Oxford City Football Club. RAW has also launched the Charge Yard facility in Slough and is exclusively working with Greene King to install EV Charging across their sites in the UK.

Bruce Galliford, CEO, RAW Charging, said:

“We are extremely pleased to be working with our four key delivery partners to install over 2,400 destination chargers across the UK in 2023, and 10,000 over the next three years. Our partnerships with the UK’s leading installation organisations will give our clients confidence in the knowledge that we have strong relationships with the best of breed supply chain for many years to come.”
