Following the successful expansion of electric vehicle facilities across RHS national sites, RHS Garden Harlow Carr has officially opened its new high-specification EV charging facility, with visitors able to charge for free during its inaugural week.

The new facility, delivered in partnership with RAW Charging, is now fully operational and offers complimentary charging to all visitors from Tuesday 2nd June to Thursday 4th June via RAW Rewards.

This latest addition to the Harrogate garden comes as North Yorkshire continues to see a rapid rise in electric vehicle ownership, with the town often recognised as a leading hub for EV-friendly travel in the North of England. The destination provides a significant boost to local infrastructure, featuring a mix of 16 dedicated EV bays: four rapid DC charging bays (up to 50kW) for those needing a quick boost and twelve fast AC charging bays (up to 22kW) for visitors planning a more immersive day out.

The placement of the new chargers ensures that visitors can enjoy over 60 acres of stunning garden at RHS Harlow Carr while their vehicle powers up. While the units are equipped for standard contactless payment for future visits, the free launch-week offer is available exclusively via the RAW Rewards programme, which is free to sign up to.

This project marks another milestone in the RHS partnership with RAW to install 90 charging bays across its five UK gardens, as it works towards becoming climate positive by 2030.

To take advantage of the free charging celebration, visitors are required to sign up for RAW Rewards and use the ChargePoint App to start their session.
