NEWS: UK Government statement regarding the expansion in charge points by 2030
Fast becoming one of the largest EV charging networks, here at RAW we welcome the Department for Transport and Office for Zero Emission Vehicles, recent statements regarding the expansion in charge points by 2030 and the plug-in van and truck grants.
The Government has committed to deliver convenient, affordable and reliable charging for all through a £1.6 billion investment to expand UK charging network. This is expected to deliver around 300,000 public chargers by 2030. In addition, from April 1, 2022, business owners, landlords, as well as business and retail park operators, can benefit from the Office for Zero Emission Vehicles’ Workplace Charging Scheme, which reduces the cost of purchasing and installing charging stations.
Additional support is available for SME business park and retail park operators, with grants of up to £15,000 available per building towards the cost of installing electric vehicle charging points, with a maximum of five grants available.
